Background

Palmpay is a Pan-African fintech company currently operating in Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria and expanding to other markets in Uganda. We are reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online. We are seeking for a proactive and results-driven Operations Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of an organization, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist with daily operational tasks such as scheduling appointments, organizing files and managing communications between departments and external parties.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and payments and manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
  • Data Management: Create and maintain databases, reports and spreadsheets on organizational metrics and financials.
  • Project Assistance: Support project management tasks, including preparing necessary paperwork and performing data entry.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with department managers to ensure all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and contribute to team efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in office administration, business administration, management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in banking or fintech.
  • Detail-oriented and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Adaptability.
  • Must be Ugandan.
