Kalangala Infrastructure Services Ltd (KIS) is a private limited company operating on Bugala Island, Kalangala District. The Company provides:
Fenry transport services (Luuku–Bukakata route)
Electricity generation and distribution
Treated water supply services
KIS hereby invites eligible, competent, and duly registered firms and individuals to apply for pre-qualification for the supply of goods, execution of works, and provision of consultancy services for the period 2026–2027, or as may be further determined by the Company.
"Please note that companies previously prequalified under earlier calls are not required to reapply unless there have been material changes in their status, including but not limited to ownership, physical or postal address, certification, registration details, or scope of services. In such cases, the firm must formally notify KIS and submit the relevant updated documentation to enable the Company to update its supplier database accordingly."
Applications are invited under the following broad categories:
Electrical and solar equipment, water treatment and distribution materials, ICT equipment and software, fuel and lubricants, motor vehicle and generator maintenance, ferry spares and maintenance, Repair of AC & Water Dispensers etc., PPE and safety equipment, security services, cleaning and environmental services, printing and branding services, hospitality services, courier and clearing services, and other operational supplies.
Power line construction and maintenance, water line construction and maintenance, civil works and renovations, and landing site maintenance.
Engineering and safety consultancy, environmental and risk assessment services, financial advisory, tax and audit services, legal advisory, HR consultancy, ICT consultancy and training, public relations, insurance advisory, and other professional services.

In accordance with the Company's Local Content Policy, KIS prioritizes qualified local vendors in the provision of goods, works, and services.
Companies and individuals based in Kalangala District are strongly encouraged to apply and participate in this pre-qualification process, provided they meet the stated eligibility and qualification criteria.
All applicants will be evaluated fairly, transparently, and in accordance with established procurement standards.
Interested applicants must first pay a non-refundable application fee of UGX 50,000 (Fifty Thousand Uganda Shillings only).
Upon payment:
A scanned copy of the bank deposit slip or official payment confirmation must be submitted via email to: procurementcommittee@kis.co.ug

Proof of payment may be physically presented at the KIS Kampala or Kalangala office for verification.
Applicants must clearly indicate their official vendor email address in their payment communication.
Upon verification of payment, the official Pre-Qualification Bidding Document will be issued strictly via email to the vendor's declared official email address.
No hard-copy bidding documents shall be issued.

Completed pre-qualification applications must be submitted strictly in accordance with the instructions contained in the official bidding document.
Submission Deadline:
5:00 PM (EAT), 11th March 2026
Late submissions shall not be accepted.
KIS maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, solicitation, and influence peddling.
Any firm, individual, or representative found to be:
Soliciting undue advantage,
Attempting to influence the evaluation process,
Engaging in lobbying, inducement, or improper communication with staff, Board members, or representatives of KIS,
shall be automatically disqualified from the pre-qualification process and may be barred from participating in future procurement processes.
Applicants are required to adhere to the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct.
Payment of the application fee does not guarantee pre-qualification.
Pre-qualification does not constitute a contract or commitment to award business.
KIS reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning reasons.
Previously prequalified firms need not reapply unless there have been material changes (ownership, scope, certification, etc.).
