Background
Uganda Assemblies of God, Katajula CYDC in Partnership with Compassion International, invite applications from suitable candidates for the Position of Project Director.
Job Summary
The Project Director will serve as the team leader of the project staff. He/she is expected to provide guidance, Knowledge and skills to the church leadership, other project staff, children and caregivers.
The Project Director will ensure that all programmatic, and financial matters of the project are managed efficiently and effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Is a witness for Christ and serves as an advocate for children & their caregivers.
- Oversees the day to day running of the activities of the project for effective implementation of the program.
- Prepare in collaboration with the other stakeholder’s project work plans and budgets
- Work as the accounting officer of the Child & Youth Development Centre
- Submit monthly reports to the Project leadership and other Partners
- Supports the Overseer in implementing the standards of the partnership agreement as the lead technical staff within the partnership.
- Maintains books of accounts, monthly financial report, monthly highlights/reports, plans and budgeting.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- The applicant must be mature born-again Christian with a sound testimony. Must have a proven relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Ability to work with and influence others, serves as an advocate for children and their caregivers.
- Proven integrity in personal and public life and must hold a Degree in Development studies, Social Work, Education, Child development and Children’s Ministry, Business Studies, Social Sciences. Skills in Project Planning and Management will be an added advantage.
- Previous supervisory experience desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
