JOB DETAILS:
Safety Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities
• Ensure thorough contractor HSE assessments and conducting evaluations and pre-qualifications as required.
• Ensuring that programs and processes are in place to achieve the objectives related to occupational safety and process safety.
• Identifying deficiencies in programs and practices and develop strategies to correct those deficiencies.
• Review company Safety Management System and advise of required changes.
• Execute assurance activities
• Facilitate Incident investigations and assurance with regards to actions identified.
• Lead and guide the Local Content H&S Field Teams.
• Provide field-based Safety supervision
• Build and maintain solid relationships and engagements with stakeholders.
• Ensure thorough contractor HSE assessments and conduct evaluations and pre-qualifications as required.
• Ensure that programs and processes are in place to efficiently and effectively achieve the objectives related to occupational safety and process safety. The Safety Supervisor will also identify deficiencies in programs and practices and develop strategies to correct those deficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline
• Profession qualification in HSE management such as NEBOSH and ISO certification
• 10 and above years of experience
• Ability to implement and maintain an HSE program in both Green and Brownfield environment
• 10 years of safety-related experience in the oil and gas sector or any other or heavy-duty industry.
• More than 10 years exposure to Greenfield environments in developing countries
• Leadership experience in the energy industry a preferred.
• Contractor evaluations/ bidding processes
• Demonstratable management level experience i.e., H&S field supervision.
• Staff management experience (knowledge transfer)
• Excellent communications skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop and implement the project HSE safety strategy. Ensure safety accountabilities identified, implemented, monitored and continuous improvement processes are adopted. Develop and maintain Statistical data.
• Desirable WORLEY exposure in safety related issues
