ABOUT US:
WomenSave is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States and International NGO in Uganda. We are on a mission to empower unbanked women in last mile communities to meet financial goals and weather economic shocks with financial literacy training, individual coaching, access to mobile money and custom savings plans.
OVERVIEW:
WomenSave is looking for Senior Savings Officers to supervise teams of 3 or 4 Savings Officers and serve approximately 300 active clients. They will work 40 hours per week, travel 50% and report to the Country Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administrative: attend regular staff meetings, represent WomenSave at external meetings (for example, with local government) as needed
- Communications: share regular photos and videos
- Human Resources: conduct annual staff evaluations with team
- Monitoring Evaluation & Learning: submit weekly and monthly data, through the WomenSave mobile app, visit team clients quarterly
- Programs: recruit new clients, conduct group financial literacy training, provide individual financial coaching, help clients open mobile money accounts and create savings plans, send regular deposit reminders, support groups to select Peer Mentors, train Peer Mentors
- And other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Commitment to WomenSave mission
- Fluency in English & local language
- Degree in Business Admin or equivalent
- Work experience in financial inclusion
Preferred:
- Female
- From a district where WomenSave operates (Kaliro, Namutumba, Kanungu or Rukungiri)
- Knowledge of commitment savings & mobile money
