Description
Markh Investments is hiring a Stores Assistant to ensure efficient receipt, storage, safeguarding, issuance, and control of company inventory and supplies while maintaining accurate stock records and supporting uninterrupted organizational operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of inventory items.
- Maintain accurate stock records, stock cards, and inventory management systems.
- Issue items against approved requisitions and company procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment when necessary.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, and losses.
- Prepare monthly inventory and stores reports.
- Ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness within the store environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in stores or inventory management in a busy and structured work environment, preferably in clearing & Forwarding
- Experience using computerized SAP inventory management systems is highly desirable.
