AVSI Foundation remained a direct supporter of communities and partner organizations throughout the two-decade civil conflict in the northern region of the country, demonstrating commitment and capacity to adapt to volatile circumstances. Today, through public private partnerships, AVSI Foundation engages with private sector players, government and communities to build capacity of children, youth and households across Uganda through a comprehensive family-centered approach that builds resilience and contributes to sustainable development, responding to the real needs of people.

Project Background:

Fondazione AVSI together with World Vision Uganda, Community Technology Empowerment Network (CTEN) and Rural Initiative for Community Empowerment (RICE) Community based organizations with funding from the European Union are implementing the Water Supply and Self Reliance for Refugees (WASER) action; component one, in two refugee settlements of Kiryandongo in Kiryandongo District and Ebididi in Yumbe District in West Nile Region. The Action will target 7,000 Refugee and host community households and 47,000 individuals within a 36-month period (November 2025 to Aug 2028).

The WASER Action’s overall objective is to support increased resilience and transition of services and graduate refugees into self-reliance. This will be achieved through improving self-reliance and resilience and access to sustainable livelihoods. The Action will deliver the tested Graduation Approach; a sequenced, multisectoral and time bound intervention that includes seven core graduation components; coaching, consumption support, referrals and linkages, savings, core technical and market skills training, asset transfer and business mentorship to enable extremely poor households graduate out of poverty.

Bids not strictly conforming to tender specifications will not be considered. AVSI Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, including the lowest bid received.

CODE OF ETHICS ACCEPTANCE CLAUSE

The Code of Ethics is an official AVSI Foundation document, approved by the Board of Directors, which contains principles and rules of conduct to be followed by anyone who works or deals with the Foundation, including suppliers and consultant.
