Yalelo Uganda is hiring a Aeration Technician-(02) to ensure optimal dissolved oxygen levels in ponds and cages by managing aeration equipment, maintaining aerators, and monitoring water quality in collaboration with the water quality team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, operate, and maintain aeration equipment.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance of aerators.
• Assist in adjusting aeration based on water quality team demands.
• Maintain records of aeration schedules and equipment performance.
• Follow electrical and mechanical safety procedures when handling aerators.
• Wear PPE when operating aeration equipment.
• Report any equipment faults, hazards, or unsafe practices.
• Ensure safe working conditions around water bodies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Certificate/Diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture or any other related fields
• Experience in operating aeration systems in aquaculture.
• Basic understanding of water quality parameters and fish health.
• Mechanical skills for minor repairs of aeration equipment.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and adhere to safety standards.
