Kyambogo University is a Public University established in 2003 following the merger of the former Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK), Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo (UPK), and Uganda National Institute for Special Education (UNISE). PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• Must have published at least ten articles in peer reviewed journals, or ten book chapters (five of which should have been after the last promotion to the rank of Associate Professor) or two books with ISBN Number.
• The five journal articles shall be vetted.
• Should have supervised two graduate students to completion, one of whom should be at PhD level.
• At least ten (10) years teaching experience.
• Should have contributed to community service.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
• Must have a PhD in a relevant Discipline.
• Must have published at least three new articles in peer reviewed or three book chapters or one book with an ISBN Number in the area of specialization since promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer or two books with ISBN Number.
• The three journal articles or book chapters or book shall be vetted.
• Should have supervised at least two graduate students to completion since last promotion/appointment to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
• At least ten (10) years teaching experience.
• Should have contributed to community service.
SENIOR LECTURER
• Should have a PhD in relevant Discipline.
• Must have published at least three articles in peer reviewed journal or at least three book chapters or one book with an ISBN Number since the last promotion/appointment.

• Should have supervised at least one graduate student to completion since last promotion/appointment to the rank of Lecturer. • Should have a minimum of three years’ teaching or research experience in a reputable organization at the level of Lecturer or its equivalent.
