Program Support and Implementation
• Assist the Coordinator of the Health Education Program in planning and implementing peer education and health club activities across all sixteen partner schools.
• Support the scheduling, preparation, and delivery of weekly, termly, and annual health education sessions and hands-on activities.
• Help facilitate peer education meetings, trainings, health club activities, and small-group discussions.
• Prepare teaching materials, learning aids, and resource kits for health education sessions.
• Assist in supervising peer educators and health club members during school-based activities and outreaches to ensure effective and organized delivery of lessons.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Management
• Support the development and administration of pre- and post-evaluations for peer educators, health club members, and selected peer groups.
• Assist in collecting, entering, cleaning, and organizing all monitoring and evaluation data.
• Help analyze basic evaluation results to identify trends, learning gaps, or emerging health concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lessons delivered, questions raised, and required follow-up.
Student Guidance and Support
• Provide basic health-related information, guidance, and support to students during and after sessions.
• Support peer educators in responding to student health concerns or discussion points raised during sessions.
• Help identify and report student issues that may indicate unsafe or unhealthy behavior.
• Encourage a supportive, open, and confidential environment where students can ask questions freely.
Safeguarding and Follow-Up
• Assist in observing, documenting, and reporting any safeguarding concerns in accordance with school protocols.
• Ensure urgent health, behavioral, or safety issues are communicated promptly to the Coordinator and relevant school authorities.
• Support communication and follow-up with teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders under the Coordinator’s direction.
Documentation, Reporting, and Administration
• Maintain clear and organized records, including attendance sheets, evaluation forms, logs, and session summaries.
• Support the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external use.
• Assist in drafting health education messages, communication materials, and documentation for trainings.
• Ensure proper storage of photos, forms, and all activity documentation.
Team Collaboration and Capacity Building
• Work closely with the Coordinator and the health education team to align teaching methods, messages, and program priorities.
• Participate actively in weekly team meetings, sharing updates, challenges, and progress.
• Assist in mentoring, coaching, and demonstrating skills to peer educators and health club members.
• Provide logistical and facilitation support during teacher trainings and stakeholder meetings.
Logistics and School Engagement
• Help coordinate and prepare for visits to partner schools, including materials preparation, schedules, and mobilization of participants.
• Support communication with teachers, headteachers, peer educators, and school health committees.
• Assist with organizing and facilitating events, outreaches, workshops, and community engagement activities.
Additional Responsibilities
• Represent the Health Education Program professionally during school visits, meetings, and external events.
• Assist with office tasks, including printing, filing, communications, and procurement of materials.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Coordinator, Directors, or the Management Team in support of program goals.

Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, clinical medicine, Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in health education, youth programs, community health, or school-based outreach.
• Experience delivering or assisting with educational sessions or youth clubs.
• Experience in basic monitoring and evaluation (data collection, entry, and organization).
• Experience working with children or youth in school settings.
• Experience preparing teaching materials or facilitating small groups is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong communication skills in English and Runyakitara.
• Ability to deliver or support delivery of health education sessions.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic data entry, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Drive, and email/Zoom communication.
• Ability to build positive relationships with schools, students, and partners.
• High integrity, reliability, and accountability.
• Willingness to travel regularly to rural schools.
