COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE FOR FHU VEHICLE & MOTORCYCLES FY24/25

Food for the Hungry (FH) a Christian based non-profit organization founded in 1971, it operates in relief and development programs in 20 countries. FH’s vision is to end all forms of human poverty worldwide. Food for the Hungry has been active in Uganda since 1988, working with both refugees and host communities. Our programs include food security, health and nutrition, education, and resilience initiatives.

FHU now invites a sealed proposal for the Comprehensive Insurance for FHU Vehicle and Motorcycles for the country program. The proposal shall be evaluated in accordance with FHU procurement manual.

Bids shall be evaluated against the following:

1. Technical compliance to the terms of reference.
2. A minimum of three (3) reference letters from INGO.
3. Financial capacity (Bank statement for at least the last 6 months).
4. Price offer (MUST be signed & stamped).
5. Conflict of Interest Declaration Form (MUST be signed & stamped).

• Detailed requirements for the preparation of the proposal are in the Terms of Reference (ToR) document attached independently.
• The service provider is not limited to any innovative ideas in terms of cover benefits and any other additional services that they may deem to be beneficial to FHU should be incorporated.
• All FHU fleet (Motor vehicles and motorcycles) have been installed with tracking devices.
• The fleet list has been attached with the estimated insurable amount.
• Half of the fleet has differing insurance dates, FH would like to align the insurance dates for all its fleet to one date as a way of standardization. We are open to any value-adding ideas from the service providers to achieve this.
• Submit only one (1) original sealed hard copy of the proposal to the Kampala office by Wednesday 2nd September 2026 at 5:00PM. No late proposal shall be accepted.
• The envelope should be clearly marked with the subject description and reference number.
• FH reserves the right to extend the bidding period and cancel the process.
