The overall job purpose is to develop a profitable Life Insurance portfolio (i.e., both Retail and Corporate Business) through all available distribution channels in Uganda. This will involve efficient management and development of relationships with Banks, brokers, FAs, IFAs, Unit Managers, ADC, Partners outlets and Regional Service Managers to grow revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a business development strategy to establish the company’s presence and drive market penetration.
  1. Build and establish a strong market presence, focusing on customer acquisition and brand awareness.
  1. Develop and execute key sales growth strategies, tactics, and action plans to expand the customer base and drive premium revenue.
  1. Drive ownership of the product portfolio strategy, ensuring quality business through a well-balanced mix of life insurance products.
  1. Design and implement sales incentives to drive new business acquisition while ensuring the retention of existing policyholders.
  1. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory developments, identifying suitable distribution channels.
  1. Manage product development, sales, and marketing costs to ensure the long-term sustainability and profitability of the business.
  1. Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to develop innovative and customer-centric life insurance products.
  1. Design a competitive and seamless customer experience across all life insurance products.
  1. Ensure all product information and training materials are aligned with the company’s value proposition and market needs.
  1. Identify and explore new product opportunities to support business growth and differentiation in the market.
  1. Monitor regulatory changes and oversee product impact analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and banking partners to drive business growth, ensuring consistent revenue generation through strategic partnerships, targeted sales initiatives, and effective collaboration on insurance solutions.
