Hydrogeological Survey, Drilling, and Installation of a Borehole in Makoma Village, Bukabooli Subcounty, Mayuge District (BMZ Handpump Project)
Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU), an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), is a Christian non-profit organization committed to eliminating poverty housing since 1982. HFHU has built, rehabilitated, or improved over 40,000 homes, enabling more than 240,000 Ugandans to access decent and affordable shelter.
HFHU is planning to implement a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) project in Bukabooli Subcounty, Mayuge District, Uganda. As part of this initiative, HFHU invites eligible and qualified companies to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for conducting a hydrogeological survey, drilling, and installation of a handpump in Makoma Village.
The purpose of this assignment is to identify a suitable groundwater point through a hydrogeological survey and subsequently drill and install a handpump in Makoma Village, Mayuge District.
The selected contractor will be required to:
Conduct a comprehensive hydrogeological survey to determine a viable drilling point.
Drill, construct, and install a standard handpump borehole in accordance with HFHU specifications.
Implement all works based on the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications available on the HFHU website.
Eligible and interested companies should:
Collect the application documents from the Habitat for Humanity Uganda office.
Submit both:
A hard copy of the Expression of Interest (EOI) and all required attachments.
A soft copy saved on a memory card/Flash Disk.

Absence of a representative will lead to automatic disqualification.
The selection of the best Expression of Interest will follow the open domestic bidding procedures in accordance with the HFHU Procurement Policy. Participation is open to companies legally eligible to operate within Uganda.

Registered company name
Physical address and contact information
Official email address
Name and contact details of the authorized representative
Certificate of Registration
Valid Trading License
Tax Compliance Certificate (if applicable)
Brief company background
Core competence in water and sanitation infrastructure
Organizational capacity and key personnel
Evidence of similar assignments completed in the past five (5) years
Description of works, locations, clients, and contract values
Proposed methodology for the hydrogeological survey
Implementation plan and timelines
Detailed financial proposal
Any innovative approaches, techniques, or technologies that can enhance project outcomes
Statement confirming ability to meet all requirements
Any other relevant information that strengthens the application
A site visit before preparing your quotation is mandatory and will form part of the evaluation.
Only Successful bidders shall be contacted. If you do not hear from us within 1(one) month after the bid submission deadline, consider your bid unsuccessful.
Habitat for Humanity Uganda reserves the right to reject any bid and is not bound to contract the lowest bidder or any other bidder.
