Background

Bondrich Advisory Group is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client, Kadz Hotel, a leading player in the hospitality sector in Uganda. Kadz Hotel is renowned for providing exceptional service and luxurious accommodation, events management including wedding events, graduation parties among others. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Cashier for our esteemed client.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately handle cash transactions including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring proper accounting of all transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by entering data into the point of sale (POS) system.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations, ensuring all cash balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved timely.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to the management.
• Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures, including adherence to hotel and hospitality industry standards.
• Assist in managing and recording inventory levels, particularly items sold at the cash register.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, particularly during peak times.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of a Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. A degree is an added advantage.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hotel and hospitality sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
