On behalf of our client in the Oil & Gas Sector, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Commercial Sales Officer to work in Uganda
Reports to: Supply, Sales and Commercial Manager
Department: Administration

Job Purpose
The Commercial Sales Officer is responsible for supporting the commercial and operational activities of the company. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with commercial agreements, and optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations related to the transportation, storage, and distribution of products.
- Monitor and ensure the smooth execution of logistics and supply chain activities.
- Coordinate with OMCs and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Track processing of trading stock and keep focus of the market dynamics
- Manage contracts and agreements with vendors, clients, and partners.
- Support the negotiation of terms and conditions with suppliers and customers.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare regular reports on commercial operations, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Analyze market trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure all operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to commercial activities.
- Maintain up-to-date records of contracts, agreements, and other relevant documentation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management and commercial operations.
- Work closely with other departments to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding operational and commercial matters.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the department’s budget.
- Ensure that commercial operations are conducted within the approved budget.
Required Qualifications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial operations, supply chain management, or a similar role in Oil and
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
- Data analysis (very Key)
- Excellent communication and negotiation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of supply chain management software and
- Ability to work under pressure and meet
Certifications
- Certification in Supply Chain Management, Commercial Operations, CIM or related fields is an advantage.
