Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer will ensure that Schneider Electric’s Field Services Cybersecurity Framework is fully implemented, monitored, and continuously improved at the EACOP site level in Tanzania. This role is essential in managing cybersecurity performance across all field service representatives (FSRs) and subcontractors, enabling safe, secure, and compliant electrical infrastructure operations in line with Schneider Electric and oil & gas cybersecurity mandates.
Key Responsibilities
- Cascade cybersecurity guidelines, communications, and best practices to FSRs and subcontractors at the site.
- Lead deployment of training paths, badge certifications, and change management related to cybersecurity.
- Enforce the performance and integrity of the Field Services Cybersecurity Framework.
- Ensure complete cybersecurity coverage across FSRs, including deployment of “secure endpoint” solutions.
- Deploy and manage FS cybersecurity incident procedures including local registration, escalation, and support.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (% FSR certified, subcontractor coverage, incident rates).
- Support implementation of cyber clauses in local contracts and service-level agreements.
- Coordinate with Schneider Electric’s central cybersecurity team to escalate field-level issues and feedback.
- Support the delivery of partner and subcontractor cybersecurity training.
- Ensure local alignment with international standards and continuous improvement in cyber posture.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
Years of Experience
o 5+ years in cybersecurity, field services, or service operations, preferably in energy, utilities, or industrial projects.
Industry Exposure
o Oil & Gas, energy infrastructure, or field service operations with cybersecurity responsibilities.
Technical Tool/Software Proficiency
o Cybersecurity training platforms
o Incident management tools
o Endpoint security systems (e.g., Secure Endpoint solutions)
o Microsoft Office Suite
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s cybersecurity badge framework and certification rules.
- Familiarity with field services cybersecurity procedures, including incident escalation and resolution.
- Understanding of endpoint protection deployment and management in remote or field-based environments.
- Competence in deploying and monitoring cybersecurity KPIs.
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity protocols and training standards.
- Change management and training deployment in a field service environment.
Personal Attributes

- Excellent communication and awareness-building capabilities.
- Ability to manage cybersecurity initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups.

- Site-based role in Uganda under the EACOP project scope.
- Requires use of PPE and compliance with site HSE and cybersecurity regulations.
- Exposure to remote, high-temperature, or environmentally challenging work zones.
- Potential for shift work and extended availability during training and incident response periods.
