  • Provide basic bedside nursing care, including hygiene care, feeding assistance, positioning, and comfort measures for clients.
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as prescribed and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Clinical Officer.
  • Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other basic clinical procedures under supervision.
  • Support antenatal, postnatal, child health, immunization, and family planning clinics by preparing clients and assisting with procedures.
  • Assist in emergency care and stabilization of clients, promptly alerting the Registered Nurse or Clinical Officer to any changes in condition.
  • Monitor clients' comfort and well-being during their stay or visit, reporting any concerns to senior clinical staff without delay.
  • Educate clients and caregivers on basic hygiene, medication use, nutrition, and self-care practices as guided by senior staff.
  • Provide holistic care that integrates physical, emotional, and spiritual support, including prayer with clients where appropriate and welcomed.
  • Follow infection prevention and control protocols strictly, including safe handling and disposal of sharps and clinical waste.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including basic nursing notes, vital signs charts, and vaccination records.
  • Assist in completing daily and weekly nursing returns and statistics for submission to the Registered Nurse or Clinic Manager.
  • Support the monitoring of stock levels of basic medical and nursing supplies, and flag shortages or expiring items to senior staff.
  • Assist in the proper use, cleaning, sterilization, and safe storage of nursing equipment and instruments.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of client appointments, home visits, and follow-up care under supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, national health regulations, and data protection standards in all record-keeping and client interactions.
  • Assist in preparing the clinic environment and documentation for inspections, audits, or visits by health authorities or partners.

Customer Care & Stakeholder Relations

  • Welcome and attend to every client with warmth, respect, dignity, and patience, regardless of background or circumstance.
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with clients and caregivers about their care and what to expect, ensuring they feel heard and respected.
  • Maintain a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor, especially with anxious, distressed, or vulnerable clients and their families.
  • Help manage client flow and waiting areas to minimize delays and reduce client and caregiver frustration.
  • Listen to client and caregiver concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism, promptly referring them to the Registered Nurse or Clinical Officer for resolution.
  • Protect client confidentiality and privacy at all times, in line with nursing ethics and data protection standards.
  • Follow up with clients and families as directed after treatment, discharge, or referral to support continuity of care and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain respectful, professional relationships with colleagues, clinic management, suppliers, and visiting partners as key stakeholders in the clinic's work.
  • Represent the clinic courteously when engaging with community members, local leaders, and community health volunteers.
  • Model Christ-like compassion and encouragement in every interaction with clients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders, reinforcing AsOne's holistic, people-first approach to care.

Collaborative & Team Duties

  • Support and learn from senior nursing staff, embracing supervision and mentorship as part of professional growth.
  • Engage respectfully with community health volunteers and partner organizations supporting the clinic's outreach programs.
  • Participate in staff devotions, fellowships, and outreach initiatives as part of the AsOne community.

Professional Development
