About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Field Quality Engineer to join our team in Rwanda or Uganda. This role is crucial in ensuring Spiro's commitment to delivering high-quality electric vehicles and maintaining customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will play a key part in monitoring, analyzing, and improving quality standards across field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products against established quality standards and ensure compliance.
- Measure, analyze, and report on all aspects of quality to ensure delivery of top-tier products.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our Quality System.
- Provide timely updates to management on quality performance and non-conformance issues.
- Execute the Quality Systems strategy and maintain alignment with operational goals.
- Monitor key quality performance indicators such as warranty rates, rework levels, and rejection percentages.
- Develop and write product testing and quality assurance procedures.
- Lead or support special quality-related projects as needed.
- Promote quality awareness through internal training initiatives.
- Investigate product quality issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve quality concerns.
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of control plans and related documentation.
Requirements
Good experience in Customer or Field Quality roles, preferably within 2-wheeler or 3-wheeler assembly.
Education: BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Electric Vehicles and Lithium-Ion battery systems
- Components such as motors, controllers, VCU, and wiring harnesses
- Engineering drawings interpretation
- Basic understanding of IATF/ISO quality standards
- Proficiency in using quality tools and metrics
- Basic knowledge of SAP

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead quality initiatives and hold team members accountable
- Goal setting and performance monitoring
- Clear and effective communication across teams and stakeholders
