We are looking for a qualified, experienced and result oriented professional to fill the following vacancy.
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide proactive assistance on various HR projects and initiatives that provide an employee value proposition that drives a high performance culture at NMGU.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide proactive support in recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
- Ensure efficiency of the transactional human resources responsibilities (payroll administration, candidate background checks, drafting various HR correspondences, handling onboarding and exit procedures etc.).
- Administer MPL welfare schemes and processing required documentation for enrollments and terminations.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to staff training and development programs.
- Coordinate the logistical requirements for various staff engagements, events and projects.
- As a safety representative; coordinate safety trainings, assist with safety audits and facilitate compliance with standards while maintaining records.
- Maintaining and updating staff records by ensuring comprehensive information storage, retrieval through scanning and uploading of all hard copy staff correspondences to the HR system folder.
- Conduct new employee orientation to ensure new hires gain insights and are easily assimilated into the Nation Media Group culture.
- Manage the company's e-leave system to ensure compliance with the annual leave Rota, ensuring new staff addition and deactivation of exited staff as well as generating monthly leave reports that shall be required from time to time.
- Manage the company's e- Performance Management system and extend support to all staff, adding new staff and deactivating exited staff.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Academic:
University Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Organizational Psychology or any other related field from an accredited institution
Professional:
Professional Qualification and/or Postgraduate Diploma in relevant field e.g. Human Resource, Organizational Development or Organizational Psychology
Experience:
1-2 years working experience in an HR environment of an FMCG company

- High standards of Integrity
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Computer literacy especially in Excel and Word
- Ability to work in multi-cultural and with varied teams
- A demonstrated ability to take responsibility and use initiative especially when working on tight deadlines
- Meticulous, detail-oriented and ability to multitask (is a must)
- Ability to work without direct day-to-day supervision, assertive and energetic.
- Ability to remain calm and in control even under pressure
