Role Summary:
Our client, a reputable educational institution with over 20 years of dedicated service, seeks to recruit a competent and experienced Head of Science Department for the Primary Section. The Head will lead the science department, ensuring high-quality teaching, curriculum implementation, and learner achievement in science subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Science Department in the Primary Section.
- Ensure effective curriculum implementation and teaching standards.
- Monitor learner performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Mentor and supervise science teachers.
- Coordinate science-related activities, projects, and events.
- Prepare departmental reports and documentation.
- Support the development of teaching materials and resources.
- Promote a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments and school leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (Science) or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years' relevant teaching/leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of the primary school science curriculum.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and professional skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Passion for teaching and student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
