To effectively guide and take responsibility for the UNOC petroleum logistical services in western Kenya (Kisumu, Nakuru & Eldoret) through the enabling stocks management systems in liaison with the products trading team, the finance stocks management team, and the respective depot managers and other enabling stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of UNOC bulk trading operations.
Essential duties
- Manage customer (OMCs) loading orders in the ERP system and external service provider systems (e.g., KPC/private terminals), ensuring timely review and approval for dispatch of paid-up stock.
- Conduct daily reconciliations at loading terminals, report anomalies, and address them promptly.
- Oversee petroleum dispatch at terminals, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Review and approve loading truck withdrawals or changes in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Develop and implement trading processes aligned with business needs and regulatory guidelines.
- Facilitate delivery of imported petroleum products and ensure regional logistical efficiency.
- Track OMCs’ evacuation performance and suggest measures to enhance throughput and secure ullage allocations.
- Monitor and assess loading activities in other markets to explore trading prospects.
- Conduct safety meetings, address issues, and enforce QHSSE compliance, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain effective relations with stakeholders like URA, KRA, KPC, and transporters for smooth operations.
- Handle oil marketing company feedback, resolve challenges, and attend stakeholder meetings.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).

Qualifications & experience
- A bachelor’s degree (Hons) in engineering, industrial chemistry, economics, statistics, commerce, marketing, business administration or a related degree.
- Relevant specialised training in petroleum products trading will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HSE principles is an added advantage.
- Specialised knowledge of logistics management/operations is an added advantage.
- A minimum of six (6) years demonstrable working experience, three (3) of which should be in downstream petroleum products business.
