About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client in Medical, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Senior Accountant to work in Kampala.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
• Ensure compliance with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) tax obligations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax.
• Manage internal and external audit processes and implement audit recommendations.
• Maintain proper financial controls and safeguard hospital assets.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities.
• Prepare payroll and ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification.
• Minimum of 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Uganda tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to manage a finance team.
