Job Summary:

The Senior Land Officer will manage all land-related matters, including acquisition, compensation, and legal compliance for UNMC projects. The role is key to ensuring smooth land negotiations and community relations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate land acquisition processes
• Manage compensation and resettlement programs
• Liaise with government bodies on land issues
• Maintain land records and legal documentation

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics, Surveying, Law, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in land management
• Experience in mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors is preferred

Competencies and Skills:

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Sound understanding of land laws in Uganda
• Strong documentation and record-keeping ability

Level of Education: bachelor degree
