War Child Holland (WCH ) is an international NGO investing in a peaceful future for children and youth affected by armed conflict. WCH has been working in Uganda since 2004. From 2017, WCH has focused on responding to the large influx of refugees from South Sudan into Uganda through establishing a Refugee Response Programme to provide psycho-social support (PSS). PSS is one of the three pillars of WCH (PS8, education and child protection).

WCH is therefore looking for a qualified hands-on Senior Logistics Officer, with solid knowledge on procurement systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities;

• To ensure proper and timely purchase, registration and distribution of assets and stocks according to WCH and donor requirements.
•  To ensure transport, fleet and security processes are coordinated effectively and efficiently according to War Child Programmes.
• To acquire and maintain preferred suppliers and ensure periodic review of relationships with supplier.
•  To ensure proper administration of procurement documents.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies;

• Bachelors in Procurement and Logistics Management is preferred
• At least 3 years of working experience
• Fluent in English (spoken and written word)
• Experience with NGOs and working with institutional donors is preferred.
• Basic technical knowledge on vehicles and IT knowledge is an added advantage.
• Planning and organization skills
• Accurate, consistent, transparent, efficient and conscious of time
• Affinity with children and young people
