JOB DETAILS:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client in Electronics, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Technician Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Standing Cookers & SDA to work in Uganda.

DEPARTMENT: Technical / After-Sales Service.

LOCATION: Uganda.

  JOB PURPOSE

To provide professional installation, repair, maintenance, and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning units, standing cookers, and small domestic appliances (SDA), ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and compliance with company standards.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC):

•    Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
•  Diagnose faults and recommend effective solutions.
•   Perform routine servicing to ensure efficiency and energy optimization.

2. Standing Cookers.

•  Install, service, and repair standing cookers (gas, electric, or dual models).
• Conduct safety checks on gas connections and electrical wiring.
•    Replace faulty components and ensure cookers are functioning optimally.

3. Small Domestic Appliances (SDA).

• Diagnose and repair SDA such as microwaves, kettles, blenders, toasters, irons, etc.
• Provide preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
• Ensure fast turnaround time to maintain high customer satisfaction.

4. General Technical Duties.

• Conduct product testing and quality checks after service.
• Maintain proper service records, job cards, and reports in the system.
•  Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations during all tasks.
•   Advise customers on product usage, care, and preventive maintenance.
• Support warranty claims by providing technical evaluations.

5. Team & Customer Support.

• Work closely with the customer care team for prompt service resolutions.
• Train junior technicians and provide technical guidance when required.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS.

• Diploma/Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in servicing refrigeration units, air conditioning, cookers, and SDA.
• Knowledge of gas fitting, electrical safety, and appliance diagnostics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
