About the Role
We are seeking six (6) qualified and motivated Agronomists to support and oversee coffee farming operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for agronomic management, field supervision, and ensuring high productivity standards across assigned estates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Agriculture or related field (Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage)
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience (additional experience is an added advantage)
- Experience in mechanized agriculture is an added advantage
- Basic to standard computer skills (MS Office, reporting, data entry, email communication)
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of coffee farming and agronomic practices
- Understanding of:
- Pest and disease control
- Weed management
- Soil fertility management
- Crop nutrition and irrigation
- Field monitoring and yield assessment
- Ability to supervise mechanized agricultural operations
- Ability to analyze field data and prepare agronomic reports
Leadership & Administrative Skills
- Demonstrated experience leading field teams
- Strong planning and task assignment skills
- Ability to write clear field reports and follow up on assignments
- Ability to monitor field performance and implement corrective measures
Personal Attributes
- High integrity with an unquestionable track record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven and results-oriented
- Willingness to work in rural/upcountry areas
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Additional Attributes (Added Advantage)
- Experience working on commercial coffee estates
- Knowledge of sustainability standards and certification programs
- Understanding of farm budgeting and cost control
- Ability to use digital farm management tools
- Valid motorcycle riding permit
- First aid training
