POST: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
REPORTS TO: SENIOR INVESTMENT OFFICER
SALARY: UIA 6
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Business Administration/ Management, International Business, International Trade, Economics, Marketing, Arta and Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, from a recognized university or institution.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years working experience
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares sector profiles, investment opportunities, pitch decks, and opportunity briefs.
- Conduct market intelligence and link market opportunities potentials investors in the industrial parks
- Develops tailored investment proposals, presentations, and high pitch decks to local and foreign investors
- Prepares business cases and value propositions that are linked to manufacturing entities in the industrial parks/zones
- Supports investors through the investment journey of registration, licensing, approvals, land inquiries, utilities, etc.
- Collect, analyze and document business environment insights, including barriers to investment and investor feedback.
- Prepare periodic analytical reports on investor facilitation activities, investor pipeline status, and service performance indicators.
- Support investor aftercare activities, including monitoring project progress, follow-up on commitments, and facilitating linkages to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate investor data on pipeline of prospects, leads, and active investors.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
- Tracks progress, investor needs, investor commitments and provides weekly/monthly performance reports, and updates investor tracking systems.
- Investor aftercare services being effectively and efficiently delivered.
- Prepares accurate and timely situational and performance reports to support departmental planning and evaluation.
