We are hiring motivated and result oriented Chinese Translators to join our client’s team. As a Translator, you will play a key role in accurately translating written documents and / or spoken content from Chinese to English and vice versa by ensuring meaning and context are preserved.

Responsibilities or duties

Offer verbal interpretation during meetings, conference calls, factory visits, and training sessions involving Chinese and Ugandan staff.

Translate technical documents, SOP’s, company policies from English to Chinese and vice versa.

Assist in the onboarding and day-to-day support of Chinese expatriates, technicians, or visitors.

Read through or listen to material, ascertain understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and convert it into the required language, making sure to preserve the original meaning

Translates online and video by providing subtitles

Consult with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialised concepts and translate them appropriately.

Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation

Translates a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.

Fluency in Chinese and English

Experience needed

Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
