JOB DETAILS:

CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR – NURSING – 2 POSITIONS

Job Purpose

To supervise and mentor nursing students during clinical practice and ensure they develop the practical competencies required for safe and professional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing students during clinical placements.
• Demonstrate correct nursing procedures and clinical skills.
• Guide students in applying theoretical knowledge to patient care.
• Assess students' clinical competencies and professional conduct.
• Provide constructive feedback and identify areas requiring improvement.
• Ensure students comply with clinical protocols and patient-safety standards.
• Coordinate with clinical staff at placement facilities.
• Maintain student clinical assessment and attendance records.
• Participate in clinical skills demonstrations and laboratory sessions.
• Mentor students on professional ethics, communication and patient-centred care.
• Monitor students' adherence to infection-prevention and control procedures.
• Report student performance, challenges and incidents to the relevant academic supervisor.
• Participate in clinical evaluation and examination activities.
• Support students in case presentations, clinical reports and reflective learning.
• Participate in curriculum and clinical-training improvement activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant professional qualification in Nursing.
• Valid professional registration and practising licence where applicable.
• Relevant clinical experience.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring nursing students is an advantage.
• Strong practical nursing and communication skills.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
