The role supports business performance by maintaining effective inventory control systems, executing detailed daily reconciliations, validating transactions, and providing timely financial insights that guide operational decision making. It enhances internal controls, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and enables effective stock management across the business. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the discipline to work under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment

  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations by comparing bank activity with system postings, clearing aged items before period close, and maintaining a clean reconciliation file free of any outstanding items exceeding 30 days.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing accurate financial evidence, providing timely documentation, and ensuring all reconciliations and supporting schedules are complete and well-organized.
  • Strengthen business understanding of consignment stock processes by engaging retail and operational teams, offering process guidance, and reinforcing adherence to stock-control standards.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.

  • Clean, well-managed debt book with minimal overdue exposure across all fleet card accounts.
  • High customer satisfaction with reduced operational escalations.
  • Accurate and timely reconciliation and consistent KPI reporting.
  • Enhanced customer and internal stakeholder competence in Shell Card processes.
