DOCUMENTATION & CALIBRATION ENGINEER – OFFICER
Job Purpose
To manage engineering documentation and calibration activities for critical instruments and equipment, ensuring accuracy, traceability and compliance with pharmaceutical quality and GMP requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate calibration activities for production and utility equipment.
- Maintain the calibration master schedule.
- Ensure instruments are calibrated within approved intervals.
- Review calibration certificates and reports.
- Maintain calibration records and equipment histories.
- Identify overdue, failed or out-of-tolerance instruments.
- Coordinate external calibration service providers.
- Support investigation of calibration failures.
- Maintain engineering documentation and controlled records.
- Ensure maintenance and calibration documents are complete and traceable.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Assist with qualification and validation documentation.
- Prepare calibration and maintenance reports.
- Ensure documentation complies with GMP and company procedures.
- Monitor document control requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or related Engineering.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is required/preferred.
- Experience in calibration and engineering documentation is highly desirable.
Key Competencies
- Strong documentation and record-management skills.
- Knowledge of calibration principles.
- Good understanding of GMP.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to work shifts.
