Background

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

We are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced driver based in Uganda.

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

A driver will safely transport people or goods, adhering to traffic laws, and performing vehicle maintenance, like inspections and basic repairs. Key responsibilities also involve route planning, maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel, and providing excellent customer service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe transportation: Drive clients, staff, or goods to the desired destinations efficiently and on time.
• Vehicle maintenance: Perform daily inspections (tires, lights, brakes, fluids), complete routine maintenance, and ensure the vehicle is clean and secure. Report any mechanical problems promptly.
• Logistics and planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes, using navigation apps and considering road conditions.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance, as well as logs of deliveries or trips.
• Loading and unloading: Handle the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are properly secured and handled safely.
• Customer service: Interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and dispatchers.
• Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Documentation: Keep all necessary vehicle documents, such as licenses and registration, up to date.
• Other assigned jobs: Execute any other assigned tasks diligently.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of road networks and GPS navigation.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic repair.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Professionalism and strong communication skills.
