JOB DETAILS:

 Early Childhood Education (ECD) Lecturer – 1 Position

The Early Childhood Education Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Early Childhood Education, mentoring students, and contributing to research and curriculum development.

• Teaching and Learning: Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Early Childhood Education. Design and develop course materials, ensuring content is current, relevant, and aligned with the curriculum.
• Student Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects, practicum, and dissertations. Provide academic guidance and support to foster their professional development as early childhood educators.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback. Conduct continuous assessments and end-of-semester examinations to evaluate student progress.
• Research and Scholarship: Conduct research in Early Childhood Education and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals. Seek external research funding and contribute to the body of knowledge in the field.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design, review, and improvement of the ECD curriculum to ensure it meets national and international standards.
• Community Engagement: Engage with schools, communities, and relevant stakeholders to promote early childhood education and link theory to practice.
• Academic Service: Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, serve on academic committees, and contribute to the overall development of the department.
