ETP Technician – Relief/Operations
Job Purpose
To support continuous operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant, ensuring wastewater is treated effectively and plant operations remain within required parameters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor ETP operations and process parameters.
- Operate pumps, blowers, dosing systems and other ETP equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance.
- Monitor chemical dosing and treatment performance.
- Assist with water and effluent sampling.
- Maintain accurate operating records.
- Report process deviations and equipment faults.
- Assist with sludge handling and waste-management activities.
- Maintain ETP equipment and work areas.
- Follow chemical-handling and environmental-safety procedures.
- Support emergency ETP maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with company EHS and environmental procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical qualification/ITI/Diploma in Water Treatment, Environmental Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Previous ETP or industrial wastewater-treatment experience is preferred.
- Ability to work shifts and respond to operational requirements.
