Our client, a leading commercial bank in Uganda, is seeking suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the following senior leadership positions:
HEAD HUMAN RESOURCES
Reporting to: Managing Director
Supervising: Manager HR Operations, and Senior HR Officer
Performance and Talent Management.
Job Summary: Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of the Bank's people strategy, ensuring effective talent management, employee engagement, performance, culture, reward and HR governance in support of the Bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the formulation and implementation of the Bank's HR strategy and people agenda.
- Drive talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning and employee development.
- Lead culture, change management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee reward, benefits, employee relations and HR policies and compliance.
- Provide strategic HR leadership and ensure effective HR governance and regulatory compliance.
- Manage HR and payroll budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with the Bank's financial objectives.
- Optimise and minimise people-related costs while maintaining appropriate staffing, competitive rewards and effective HR service delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or a related field.
- Master's degree, Postgraduate Diploma in HRM or MBA with an HR focus is an added advantage.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPD and/or membership of a recognised HR professional body e.g. HRMAU is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years' HR experience, including at least 5 years at management level, preferably in a banking or regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience in HR transformation, culture change, talent and performance management.
- Strong leadership, people analytics, stakeholder management, communication and change management capabilities.
- High integrity and sound judgement.
