Context & Environment

There is no equivalent project of such an industrial drilling magnitude in a remote and sensitive area within the Group today.

The Tilenga oilfields are partly situated in a protected National Park, partly beneath the river Nile wetlands area, and within densely populated area in a rural and remote part of Uganda. Activities exposed to the risk of major incidents with severe potential consequences due to local environment and important presence of NGO’s. Factory Drilling with a well delivered every 4 days using 3 drilling rigs simultaneously will necessitate standardization of equipment and procedures, strict enforcement of Drilling & Well instructions, safe and efficient logistic management on site. The project is focused on delivering the lowest possible cost, which requires challenging design concepts as well as substantially challenging the Company referential.

Challenging production fluids (high oil viscosity on Northern Wellpads, very waxy crudes on Southern wellpads) will have to be treated through the oil production chain, which makes Tilenga project unique in terms of production chemistry, separation and PWT challenges.

Multicultural environment: Contractors will be located in various parts of the world. Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as international codes for onshore plant will apply.

Activities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

HSSE

  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to HSEQ rules & requirements, as well Company Ethics & “Code of Conduct” policy.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy. Report any anomaly or good practice noticed at Kampala or at site and make use of stop card if necessary.
  • Be up to date with HSE trainings, ensure Company Golden rules are known and applied at work and during daily life.

Technical

  • Consolidate the work program to be executed based on the validated scope from each involved entity.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the work program execution and detect any potential constraints/clashes.
  • Gather all schedules related to FOPS activities /interfaces, check information accuracy, and make sure it is input into the Planning Tool (Primavera).
  • Ensure that FOPS planning is updated on a regular and defined basis.
  • In charge of 5WLA and 4MLA planning meetings organization and animation.
  • Ensure POB constraints are taken into account.
  • Assist the Integrated Planning leader and FO preparing the documents for the 24 Months and LTP review planning meeting.
  • During work program execution phase, follow progress, alert management in case of deviation and propose continuous optimization.

Digital

  • Promote the use of Job ID Card for the preparation of tasks. Gather feedback from Entities and Job Leaders and share with Smart Room Leader and FOPS Management.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified to degree level in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience.
  • Previous experience as planner and using Primavera is mandatory
  • Mastering of Primavera Planning tool.
  • Proficiency with MS office suite
  • General knowledge of onshore upstream Oil and Gas and production operations
  • Autonomy with height of view (consolidation of planning from various entities with interaction between them);
  • Ability to coordinate tasks preparation with both detailed and high-level overview
  • Collaborative working relationships with both Kampala and site teams.
  • Ability to operate in a highly transverse situation.
  • Good communication skills, reliability, autonomy, organization and method
