Background
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the vacant posts available in private wing at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and launder hospital linens, uniforms, and patient clothing.
- Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and treat accordingly.
- Fold, pack, and distribute clean linens to various hospital departments.
- Maintain proper inventory of linen and report shortages or losses.
- Ensure laundry areas are clean, organized, and comply with hygiene standards.
- Handle contaminated linen with strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Assist with minor repairs to linen (sewing buttons, mending tears).
