JOB DETAILS:

Background

Makerere University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for various academic, administrative, and support staff positions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Teach, examine and grade students;

2. Supervise research for students;

3. Mentor junior staff;

4. Conduct research and community outreach activities;

5. Write proposals for attracting funding to the department;

6. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department

Required Qualifications

i. Doctor of Philosophy

ii. Master of Education (Islamic Religious Education)

iii. An honors Bachelors degree of Arts with Education (Islamic Religious Education and any other subject)

APPLICANTS FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT LECTURER SHOULD HAVE A CGPA OF 4.0 AND ABOVE EXCEPT FOR APPLICANTS IN THE DEPARTMENTS OF PSYCHIATRY WHO SHOULD HAVE A CGPA OF 3.60 AND ABOVE.

APPLICANTS FOR ALL OTHER POSITIONS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 55 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
