Background
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the vacant posts available in private wing at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Label and package medications, providing clear instructions on dosage and administration.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and rotating medicines and supplies.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for drugs, including cold-chain management.
- Process prescriptions, verify patient information, and handle billing or insurance claims.
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
- Prepare extemporaneous preparations (creams, mixtures) as prescribed.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, drug control, and record-keeping requirements.
