JOB DETAILS:
Background
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the vacant posts available in private wing at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely between wards, departments, and diagnostic areas (radiology, theater, laboratory).
- Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers with care.
- Transfer medical equipment, supplies, and specimens between departments.
- Assist with lifting and moving deceased patients to the mortuary when required.
- Respond to porter calls promptly and prioritize urgent requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of wheelchairs, stretchers, and trolleys.
- Follow infection control protocols when handling patients and equipment.
- Support nursing and clinical staff with general non-clinical tasks as needed.
