LWF-Uganda currently supports Congolese and South-Sudanese refugees living in settlements in the districts of Kamwenge, Adjumani, Moyo and Lamwo respectively with access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene services, community services, protection, psychosocial support, livelihoods and environmental conservation. The LWF Uganda is looking for mature, qualified and experienced persons for the following position:

Job Title: Protection Officer
Place of Assignment: Adjumani LWF Office
Reports to: Project Manager

Duties and responsibilities:

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development studies, Psychology or Law
  
• A minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in development and humanitarian protection.
  
• Excellent team work and problem solving skills
  
• Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments, baselines & evaluations using participatory methodologies;
  
• Sound understanding of project management cycle, humanitarian principles & standards including SPHERE, HAP and the Code of Conduct
  
• Computer literacy with full knowledge of office applications, internet and email.
  
• Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Kiswahili will be an added advantage.
