Post: QA/QC Engineer
Location: Kampala, Uganda however can be mobilized to Lake Albert area, other construction sites or other cities as required. .

Primary function:
Ensure the required QA/QC activities are well-performed, play a Proactive role to identity and close non-conformances on worksite.

Responsibilities:
• To coordinate all QA/QC activities associated with the Company‘s construction projects and maintenance works. Monitoring of QC inspection activities. Monitoring of Inspectors attendance and performance. Liaise with Contractor QC at regular meetings. Technical Review of inspection results and coordination of punch lists. Regular attendance at yard and contractors or subcontractors Tool Box meetings (according to job).
• Review inspection and Test Plan. Liaise with the relevant Construction and Quality Control Specialists and to provide support and guidance to the Contractor and their Subcontractors to ensure that all fabrication, erection and installation works being undertaken comply with the applicable drawings. Project Specifications and Standards.
• To manage the inspection tools in a good manner, ensure they are in good condition before being used. Conduct NDT inspection, painting inspection, positive material inspection and visual inspection as requirements. Utilize inspection tools (UTT, PMI, Vi...) to verify the ITP results. Verify materials quality certificates and sampling inspection.
• Raise punch list items and nonconformance reports as necessary. Follow up on issued nonconformance reports.
• To effectively manage a team of multi-disciplined, multi-cultural QC inspectors and to ensure that regular surveillance and inspection of all fabrication, erection and installation works is undertaken and that nominated inspection points as specified on the applicable ITPs are being attended to and results documented.
• Review and implement Quality Management System; ensure updates are conducted as required. Develop programs and procedures for QA/QC activities among company business areas. QA/QC procedures development and implementation.
• Document management and control. Receipt, review and tiling of Company QC inspection Reports. Ensure all Quality Management related records are maintained in good manner and easy to obtain.
• Organize & Participate in contractor OMS audits and workshop QC surveillance; develop quality audit reports; tracking the contractor performance improvement.
• Organize and perform internal QA/QC related trainings to employee and contractors.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• Quality Management related Certificates, Non-Destructive Testing Certificates (e.g.: UT/PT/MTNl) is a plus.
• At least 10 years quality management working experience, Oil & Gas background preferred.

Knowledge:
• Familiar with Quality Management System and using of Quality Control Tools.
• Excellent Audit reports & procedures development and document management skills.
• Experience of raw material inspection and Non-Destructive Inspection.
• Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Skills.
• Familiar with international engineering standards, such as API, ASME, lS0, IEC...
• Knowledge of OHSE policies for the oil and gas industry in Uganda.
• Understanding of oil E&P.
