1. Role Purpose

The Senior Copywriter & Content Strategist is responsible for developing high-impact, insight-driven, and commercially effective communication narratives that support brand growth, digital engagement, and business development across Next Media platforms and client portfolios.

The role combines creative storytelling, strategic thinking, proposal development, digital copy leadership, and design thinking to ensure that all brand communication is compelling, audience-centric, and aligned with NextCom’s digital-first, revenue-generating mandate.

This position plays a key role in shaping how brands speak, sell, influence, and connect with audiences across digital and traditional platforms.

2. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Copy Development

  • Develop high-quality, persuasive copy for:
    • Digital campaigns
    • Brand communications
    • Marketing materials
    • Corporate messaging
  • Translate brand strategies into clear communication narratives.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across platforms.
  • Craft compelling storytelling frameworks.

Digital Platform Copy Strategy

  • Design platform-specific communication strategies for:
    • Social media
    • YouTube
    • Websites
    • Digital advertising
  • Adapt messaging based on platform behavior and audience insights.
  • Optimize copy for digital performance and engagement.

Proposal & Pitch Development

  • Lead development of creative proposal narratives.
  • Design compelling pitch decks and campaign storylines.
  • Support commercial teams in developing winning client proposals.
  • Translate strategic ideas into clear, persuasive communication.

Design Thinking & Project Ideation

  • Apply design thinking methodologies to:
    • Campaign conceptualization
    • Brand storytelling
    • Customer journey communication
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and brainstorming workshops.
  • Develop creative solutions to communication challenges.

Campaign Creative Support

  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop integrated campaigns.
  • Provide copy direction for visual and video content.
  • Ensure alignment between copy and creative execution.

Brand Positioning & Narrative Development

  • Support development of brand positioning frameworks.
  • Craft brand messaging guidelines and tone-of-voice documents.
  • Develop communication strategies for new product launches.

Content Quality Assurance

  • Review and edit content produced across teams.
  • Maintain high editorial standards.
  • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness of communication.

Market Intelligence & Trends

  • Monitor communication trends in digital marketing and advertising.
  • Identify emerging storytelling formats and innovations.
  • Recommend new approaches to enhance brand messaging impact.
