To lead the commercialization, market launch, and in market performance of the company’s product portfolio by bridging product design, pricing, distribution, marketing, and customer experience. The role ensures products are successfully taken to market, adopted by customers and distributors, profitable, compliant, and continuously optimized for growth.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Product Commercialization Strategy
Develop and execute commercialization strategies for new and existing products across all channels (Agency, Bancassurance, Digital, Corporate).
Translate product designs and pricing into clear, market‑ready value propositions.
Define target segments, channel strategies, and launch sequencing.
Own the go‑to‑market plans, including rollout timelines, readiness checklists, and success metrics.
2. Product Launch & Market Readiness
Lead end‑to‑end product launches, ensuring alignment across Distribution, Marketing, Operations, IT, Actuarial, Finance, and Compliance.
Coordinate product training for sales teams and key partners.
Ensure availability of sales tools, product collateral, system configurations, and customer journeys prior to launch.
3. Commercial Performance & Optimization
Track post‑launch product performance against KPIs (sales uptake, profitability, persistency, claims ratio, customer experience).
Identify performance gaps and lead product enhancements, repricing, or repositioning initiatives.
Support management with insights on product economics and growth opportunities.
4. Pricing, Profitability & Value Management
Work closely with Actuarial and Finance to ensure products are competitively priced, profitable, and sustainable.
Support scenario analysis on margins, distribution incentives, and portfolio mix.
Monitor market trends and competitor propositions to inform pricing and feature adjustments.
5. Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary interface between Product Development and commercial teams.
Drive decision‑making forums and commercialization committees.
Engage external stakeholders where required (partners, reinsurers, distributors).
6. Governance & Compliance
Ensure all commercialized products adhere to regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
Support product approvals, filings, and post‑launch reviews.
7. Other duties
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
