Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing, Painting, Commissioning and Handover of Rainwater Harvesting Storage Tanks in Uganda

The International Crane Foundation (ICF) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified and experienced firms, contractors, water engineering companies, and consortiums to undertake the supply, delivery, installation, testing, painting, commissioning, and handover of rainwater harvesting systems at designated programme sites across Uganda.

Scope of Assignment

The successful contractor will be responsible for:

  • Supply and installation of 44 plastic water tanks (5,000 litres) and 13 plastic water tanks (10,000 litres).
  • Construction of durable concrete tank bases.
  • Installation of taps, washout systems, gutters, downpipes, overflow systems, flashing components, and all associated accessories.
  • Transportation of materials to programme sites.
  • Painting tanks with approved conservation-themed artwork and donor acknowledgements.
  • Testing, commissioning, beneficiary orientation, and handover.
  • Provision of warranties, defects liability support, and after-sales services.

Assignment Locations

Implementation will take place at ICF programme sites in the districts of Rubirizi, Rukiga, Lwengo, Sembabule, Mbarara, Kiruhura, Rwampara, Isingiro, and Ntungamo, serving schools, health facilities, faith-based institutions, community groups, and other designated beneficiaries.

Minimum Requirements

Interested firms must demonstrate:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in water systems, rainwater harvesting, tank installation, plumbing, civil works, or related infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in supplying and installing water storage tanks and rainwater harvesting systems.
  • Availability of qualified technical personnel and capacity to work across multiple districts.
  • Evidence of similar assignments successfully completed.
  • Valid business registration and tax compliance documentation.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, environmental protection, and safeguarding standards.

Submission Requirements

Interested bidders shall submit:

  1. Technical Proposal detailing company profile, methodology, work plan, staffing, relevant experience, technical specifications of proposed tanks and components, warranties, and references.
  2. Financial Proposal with detailed cost breakdowns for tanks, transportation, base construction, accessories, installation, painting, testing, taxes, and after-sales support.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be assessed based on:

  • Technical responsiveness and methodology
  • Relevant experience and personnel qualifications
  • Quality of proposed materials
  • Implementation capacity and schedule
  • Warranty and after-sales support
  • Statutory compliance
  • Financial competitiveness

Assignment Period: 25 August – 30 September 2026

(subject to contract award and procurement approval).
