JOB DETAILS:
Job Title : Procurement Officer
Reports to : General Manager

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Support in the procurement of raw materials, goods, supplies and works strictly as per the laid down policies and procedures of Come Again Investments.
• Develop and assess vendor performance standards and appraisals for vendors as per contracts and SLA’s.
• Monitor and review supplier or / service provider deliverables to determine their competence in accordance with the Company’s established measurement criteria.
• Ensure that adequate textile products and supplies are available to all Departments in Head Office, Branches.
• Prepare monthly reports on textile/ products/ raw material procurement.
• Assist in the Coordination of suppliers and service providers prequalification in line with the procurement & asset management policy.
• Coordinate the delivery of goods and services to requisitioning/ user units in line with Procurement & Asset Management Policy.
• Arrange and Book venues for Board & Management meetings and accommodation for participants in line with company Policy.
• Compile, file and maintain an updated monthly record of purchases and orders placed in line with the existing company policy
• Maintain an updated vendor database by systematically reviewing, evaluating, ranking, vetting, monitoring suppliers’ performance and generate periodic status reports in line with the company Policy
• Maintain an updated of prices and specifications for the Come Again purchases/supplies through conducting market research and making recommendations to user departments in line with the Policy.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Education Qualification:

• Minimum of Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain/ Stores Management or related field.

Work Experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years cognate experience

Reporting to the Operations Officer , the Driver is responsible for driving and maintaining ALIGHT vehicles within and outside of Nakivale Office as per technical guidance and specifications established by the organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• To drive the assigned vehicle according to ALIGHT’s Vehicle/Driver Policy.
• To keep himself updated on the security situation of the area where he is asked to drive to.
• Prepare the vehicle in good time before departure (the day before), make sure the right equipment needed for the specified location, toolkit, fuel tanks full etc. are available in the vehicle.
• Collect and bring needed documents such as Delivery Dockets, Parcels, Documentations, Files, etc.
• Responsible for carrying at all times necessary documents, updated (driving license, passport, car documents, maps, etc.).
• The driver must follow and respect all traffic and road safety rules and regulations while driving.
• Adapts his speed according to road conditions and follow ALIGHT approved speed limits for the different road terrains.
• Responsible for the safety of staff and goods carried goods (safely stored and tightened, weight balanced).
• Load and offload his vehicle as required.
• He is to drive and master his vehicle in a safe and controlled manner in order to avoid accidents.
• Drive assigned vehicle in safe manner and on movement schedules as directed by tour supervisor.
• Drive organizational vehicles in strict adherence to the laws governing road safety for other motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and passengers.
• Maintain assigned vehicle in good working condition through daily routine checks on battery, water, oil, lighting, etc.
• Keeps assigned vehicle full of fuel, oil, water and other lubricants, and account to your supervisor for onward reporting.
• Keep and maintain records of motor vehicle Log Book.
• Prepare fuel accountabilities (photo copying fuel receipts, tracking sheets, reconciliation log sheets and monthly fuel consumption reports)
• Wash, clean and make the vehicle tidy for use.
• Make weekly vehicle inspection checklists, or where necessary instant, reports to your supervisor regarding mechanical status of the allocated vehicle.
• Assist in identifying and carrying out minor motor vehicle repairs.
• Keep charge of the motor vehicle accessories kept in the allocated vehicle.
• Assist program staff in program activities whenever necessary.
• Must ensure that any authorized non-staff using ALIGHT vehicles sign the Limit of Liability Form before and after each trip.
• He/she is to show respect and courtesy towards other drivers and road users.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements
• Ordinary Level Education
• Certificate in Defensive Driving
• Must hold a valid driving license with class B, DL, CM, CH and at least 5 years driving experience.
• Experience in working with multi-cultural environments
• Fluency in spoken and written English;
• Flexibility and willingness to work early mornings / late nights as and when required;

For its work in Kampala, Uganda, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Logistics Coordinator – National Position.
As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for all logistical activities in MI Uganda, including procurement, fleet, store and assets management.

Your responsibilities:
• Ensure that all of Malteser International´s (MI) procurements and items moving through stores are processed efficiently in accordance with MI policies and procedures as well as within the minimum timeframe stipulated in MI policies at all times
• Ensure that an accurate and detailed monthly procurement request form/ purchase order tracking report is circulated to all projects and that the procurement team provides quick, efficient, and supportive services to projects by communicating regarding difficulties and concerns
• Conduct an evaluation of the provided services with inclusion of observations in the completion report in order to assist in the improvement of logistics procedures and practices
• Support MI’s implementing partners as needed with their logistics/procurement needs and planning
• Ensure that all MI transport is handled within MI policies according to the Fleet management matrix (FMM), and that a carpool report is completed, with full analysis of fuel consumption and maintenance issues to manage the fleet in a cost effective manner
• Ensure that an accurate monthly asset register is completed and shared with all projects to facilitate donor reporting and tracking of assets
• Manage all officer level positions in logistics and ensure a motivated, dynamic, result-focused team, with clear roles and responsibilities by providing support, direction and clear decision-making on all logistics issues
Your profile:
• Possession of a university degree in Logistics/Procurement /Business Administration or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management with a good understanding of donor and INGO procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven ability to multi-task and process information into action as to not delay program activities
What we offer:

• Duration of contract: 1 year with possible extension subject to donor funding
• Salary according to qualification and experience, insurance package, 13th pay cheque
