Role Outline

Responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely execution of all warehouse operations, including receiving goods, stock issuing, and dispatch activities while verifying documentation accuracy, maintaining safety standards, and meeting service expectations across inbound and outbound processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reconciliation of system stock with physical stock by location, ensuring timely resolution of any discrepancies on a daily, weekly, and monthly Basis Responsible for receiving stock into the warehouse and on-site, issuing goods, handling returns, and loading stock for dispatch based on picklists or relevant documents
  • Responsible for validating that all warehouse transactions both inbound and outbound are processed efficiently and accurately to meet client and customer requirements
  • Responsible for stock management by confirming inventory is reconciled at the end of each shift and accurately recorded on count sheets
  • Responsible for accurate system processing of stock movements, ensuring proper put-away and stock handling aligned with JDA guidelines
  • Responsible for verifying that all receiving and loading documents are properly stamped, signed, and filed to maintain compliance and traceability
  • Responsible for managing and supervising the use of warehouse equipment, ensuring all tools, machinery, and material handling equipment (MHE) are in proper working condition
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving productivity of MHE operators, warehousemen, and loaders through tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for timely reporting of any shift-related accidents and incidents in both inbound and outbound operations
  • Responsible for enforcing all Health & Safety requirements, including PPE usage and housekeeping, across all warehouse zones
  • Responsible for generating and submitting accurate productivity reports for outbound operations within required deadlines
  • Responsible for managing and preparing all direct resources necessary for a successful and timely shift start
  • Responsible for participating in internal, customer, and regulatory audits, and supporting the implementation of any resulting corrective action plans

Qualifications & Experience                                                                                                                                                                                       

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2 years’ experience in inbound /outbound warehouse operations, including stock receiving, verification, and inventory control preferably in technology or energy sectors.
  • Training in warehouse systems (e.g. Oracle, JDA, SAP) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems such as Oracle, JDA, or SAP is highly beneficial, especially for stock put-away and transaction processing
  • Understanding of warehouse documentation flow related to goods receiving, stock reconciliation, and source document verification
  • Strong eye for detail to reconcile inbound stock and update records accurately
  • Basic certification in Health & Safety and/or MHE (Material Handling Equipment) operation adds value

Responsible for adherence to HSE laws, conduct site inspections, lead accident investigations, and manage improvement action plans Responsible to develop and implement Health, Safety & Environment practices, ensuring the Organization complies with current Health, Safety and Environment legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision. Conduct investigations or support the team in doing so, into the causes and circumstances of accidents, ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence, and that detailed records of findings and actions are accurately maintained Advice the management team on implications of current and emerging Health, Safety and Environmental legislation including making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure compliance Implement the required security measures to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, DSC assets and of the customer's product for the required area Responsible for planning, tracking, implementation, conducting assessments and reviews of Health &Safety, Management systems and Minimum Quality Standards. Support Managers to maintain safe systems of work and implement best practice, including providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support as needed. Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions Work proactively with managers to establish and maintain customer HSE and Quality standards and respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions Oversee day-to-day operational execution by maintaining a strong floor presence, facilitating team communication, and addressing tactical issues promptly and foster a culture of performance and engagement through feedback, recognition, and participation in CSR activities Monitor and drive achievement of Quality, Health, and Safety KPIs across all sites and lead national site audits and engage directly with site managers to address performance gaps Identify HSE-related employee training needs, manage associated expenditures within budget, and advise management on evolving legislation by recommending action plans to ensure continued compliance. Lead and support cross-functional efforts to drive operational excellence through GEMBA walks, action plan execution, and enhanced management reporting Facilitate training programs, promote sustainability initiatives such as recycling and pollution reduction, and actively engage employees in continuous improvement and environmental awareness campaigns aligned with the First-Choice methodology
 
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field Alteast 2 Years of practical work experience NEBOSH Certificate, ISO 45001/14001/9001 Lead Auditor certification, or equivalent professional HSE qualifications Additional certifications in Quality Management Systems (QMS) or risk management are often advantageous
