Children’s Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF) is an African child rights and social
justice intermediary organization. CRVPF partners with community organizations operating in
Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, and Ethiopia to prevent violence, including sexual violence against
children and young people. We build children and young people’s power and agency to make the
right choices and decisions and facilitate access to safe and dignified employment opportunities.
CRVPF works with community organizations as an effective avenue for reaching vulnerable
children, young people, families, and communities because these organizations have closer
proximity, adaptability, trust with communities, efficiency, and can contextualize interventions.
Community organizations and their leaders are the basis for building community movements that
advocate children's and young people's issues.
Over the past ten years, CRVPF has developed and implemented three grant-making programs
namely Prevention of violence against children and young people (PVAC), Adolescent girls power
program (AGPP) and Empowering youth through Data and community development (EYDCD).
Initially, these programs were rolled out in different districts and communities with limited
collaboration and strategic connection. However, CRVPF has recognized the potential for a more
significant impact through a coordinated programs approach, bringing all three grant-making
programs into one geographical location. The unique strengths of each program will contribute
to the coordinated program approach; EYDCD is strong in creating employment for young people
through VSLAs and digitalization; AGPP excels in creating safe spaces for young people through
its life skills manual, and PVAC is proficient in creating safer environments for young people
through parenting, spousal relationships, and safe school environment programs.
CRVPF seeks to employ a Program coordinator that will spearhead the rollout of the coordinated
programs approach activities. The Program coordinator will report to the executive Director and
work hand in hand with the MEL and Program Coordinators.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of the program activities in
relation to the strategic objectives of the coordinated programs approach.
• Facilitating communication between internal teams, external partners and stakeholders
to ensure smooth program operations.
• Coordinate the allocation of resources to support the coordinated program approach
activities
• Maintain accurate program documentation including reports presentation and meeting
minutes for the coordinated program approach
