- Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between the company and contractors.
- Oversee water project contracts, including progress, compliance, and quality control.
- Manage resources and ensure work is executed efficiently, safely, and within timelines and budgets.
- Serve as the primary contact for contractual issues, change orders, and disputes.
- Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify legal, financial, or operational risks in contract terms and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with legal, finance, procurement, and technical teams to align contract terms with project goals.
- Contract Administration: Manage contract records, milestones, and obligations; ensure compliance by all parties.
- Change Management: Evaluate and process contract changes, ensuring documentation and approvals.
- Monitoring Compliance: Track compliance with contract terms (deliverables, timelines, performance indicators) and address deviations.
- Payment and Invoicing Oversight: Verify payment terms, support invoice processing, and align payments with work progress.
- Close-Out and Final Documentation: Ensure all obligations are met, handle close-out procedures, final payments, releases, and archiving.
- Dispute Resolution Support: Assist in resolving disputes, preparing documentation for arbitration, mediation, or legal action.
- Performance Evaluation: Review contractor/supplier performance and provide feedback for future contracts.
- Report Writing and Submission: Compile and prepare comprehensive monthly project reports.
- Educational Background and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Water Engineering and Management, Environmental Engineering and Management, or related course.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Training in ISO Standards (9001, 14001, and 45001).
- Technical qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Computer literacy (email, Excel, Word) for compiling, producing, monitoring, and interpreting operational data and reports.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and application of QHSE Policies and Procedures.
- Reliable, ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
- Flexible approach to meet business objectives.
- Excellent technical writing, project planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
