About Laboremus Uganda Limited

At Laboremus Uganda, we build mission-critical digital infrastructure, fintech solutions, and identity platforms that power financial inclusion across East Africa. We are looking for a creative, proactive, and trend-aware Digital Marketing & Content Creator to lead our digital presence, translate complex technical products into compelling visual stories, and drive brand engagement across our online and offline channels.

The Role

If you live and breathe visual content, thrive on building active online communities, and know how to transform technical concepts into high-converting social campaigns, this role is for you.

You will be the primary voice and visual designer behind Laboremus’s marketing touchpoints. From designing scroll-stopping assets, to producing product explainer videos, managing multi-channel campaigns, and supporting sales enablement with slick slide decks, you will directly shape how the market perceives our brand.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Visual Design

  • Design Brand Collateral: Produce polished, brand-aligned graphics, infographics, brochures, case studies, and presentation decks primarily using Canva (with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop as an advantage).
  • Multimedia Production: Script, shoot, and edit short-form video content (demos, team spotlights, event recaps, tutorials) optimized for LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
  • Photography & Creative Assets: Direct and capture original event photography, behind-the-scenes office culture media, and headshots for promotional campaigns.

2. Social Media Management & Brand Growth

  • Channel Ownership: Plan, curate, schedule, and oversee our primary digital touchpoints—with a heavy emphasis on LinkedIn, X, and the company blog.
  • Community Engagement: Foster conversations across digital communities, engage with industry partners and fintech thought leaders, and respond to incoming inquiries promptly.
  • Campaign Execution: Launch targeted organic and paid social campaigns around new product rollouts, company milestones, and industry reports to generate inbound business inquiries.

3. Content Strategy & Copywriting

  • Tech-to-Value Storytelling: Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to translate complex fintech and software solutions (e.g., e-KYC, system integration) into clear, persuasive, customer-centric copy.
  • Editorial Calendar: Maintain a structured monthly content pipeline ensuring consistent publishing schedules across blogs, newsletters, and social feeds.

4. Sales Enablement & Event Marketing

  • Pitch & Demo Support: Standardize and design compelling product pitch decks, one-pagers, and digital demos for the business development team.
  • Event Representation & Coverage: Cover Laboremus’s participation at tech expos, hackathons, and industry summits through live updates, stories, and recap assets.

Who You Are (Requirements)

  • Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation (preferably within tech, agency, or B2B sectors).
  • Canva Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Canva (visual hierarchy, typography, motion graphics, and brand kit management). Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop) is an advantage.
  • Content Portfolio: A demonstrable portfolio or active links showcasing designed graphics, written posts, and multimedia projects you have created from scratch.
  • Copywriting Skills: Sharp, clear, and professional writing skills with an ability to communicate technical value propositions simply and compellingly.
  • Analytical Mindset: Familiarity with social media analytics and insights (LinkedIn Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics) to track reach, engagement, and conversion metrics.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, IT, Business, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Highly organized, proactive, self-directed, deadline-driven, and naturally curious about technology and fintech trends.
  • Design Brand Collateral: Produce polished, brand-aligned graphics, infographics, brochures, case studies, and presentation decks primarily using Canva (with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop as an advantage).
